With temperatures forecasted to be in the 90s starting today through Saturday, the City of Columbus is taking steps to help residents stay cool. Columbus Recreation and Parks will expand pool and splash pad hours from 1 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. through Friday. The $1 fee will also be waived through Friday. In addition, residents are welcome at all community centers which will be open regular hours, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. weekdays. A list of pools and community centers can be found here.
Residents are also encouraged to seek out other air-conditioned public areas such as Columbus Metropolitan Library locations that will be open starting at 9 a.m. Hours and locations can be found here.
