Details: On October 28, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 5029 Enclave on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Giant'e D. Adaway, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Adaway was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive his injuries. On October 31, 2020, at 11:25am, Mr. Adaway succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced. Giant'e Adaway Bio(PDF, 279KB).

Details: On October 25, 2020, at 8:34 p.m., Patrol responded on an unknown complaint at 1456 Briarwood Avenue. Caller reported that there was a dead body in the house. Upon arrival, Patrol found an open back door and during a search of the residence discovered the victim, who appeared to have been shot. CFD EMS #13 responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene. There is no suspect information at this time.

Incident Address: 2200 [Block] Sullivant Ave.
Details: On October 20, 2020, Patrol officers responded on a ShotSpotter call to 2281 Sullivant Avenue, a Sunoco gas station. Upon arrival, they discovered shell casings on the parking lot. Acouple of minutes later, they received a shooting run at 530 Hague Avenue, a United Dairy Farmers. Upon arrival at that scene, they found a victim that had been shot inside a Honda Element. Preliminary investigation efforts revealed that two (2) black males, and at least one other unknown suspect in a Maroon and Gold minivan had been involved with shooting the victim at the Sunoco station and had fled. The victim then drove to the United Dairy Farmers on Hague, where the police were called. The victim was transported to Grant Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Details: On October 18, 2020, at 2:15 a.m. Patrol responded to the gas station at 825 E. Broad St. on a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered the victim inside a vehicle who had been shot. CFD Medic #8 pronounced the victim dead at scene. The victim’s boyfriend stated that they were shot at by the occupant(s) of a black SUV, and he drove to the gas station to get help. There is no further information in regard to suspect(s) at this time.

Details: On October 9, 2020, at 1:09 a.m., Patrol responded on a shooting out of a robbery at 1935 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., the Beechcroft Newstand. Two male black suspects dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks entered the business armed and demanding money. Shots were exchanged between the clerk and the suspects. The clerk fatally shot one of the suspects. The other suspect fired shots striking the clerk and a customer and fled. The clerk and customer were both transported to area hospitals and were treated and released.

Details: On October 5, 2020, at 10:40 p.m., Patrol Officers responded to the intersection of Joyce Avenue and Windsor Avenue on an injury accident where a blue Chevrolet hybrid vehicle drove off the southwest corner and into a ditch. It was later discovered that the victim had been shot and was later pronounced at scene. There is no suspect information at this time.

Details: On October 4, 2020, at 7:07am, Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to 2000 Jetway Blvd on an an unresponsive person that was found in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced at 7:20am by CFD EMS 13. This incident is under investigation by the Columbus Police Homicide Unit, unknown motive at this time.
