Details: On April 20, 2021, at 3:38am, Patrol Officers were dispatched to the rear of 293 E. 15th Avenue on a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, Mr. Dell Fields Jr, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Mr. Fields was transported to a local area hospital by CFD Medic #18 where he was treated for his injuries. Despite receiving life saving medical treatment, Mr. Fields succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced at 5:36am. At this time, the motive for this incident is still unclear.

Details: On April 18th, at approximately 8:11 a.m., Patrol responded to a shooting at Sullivant Ave. and S. Richardson Ave. Upon arrival they discovered the victim inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Grant Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The only suspect information we have is a silver car pulled along side the vehicle the victim was driving, fired shots, and sped off, according to witnesses.

Details: On April 18, 2021 at 1:48am, Patrol officers responded to the area of 25th Av & Medina Av. on a shooting. Officers located an unidentified black male inside a vehicle in the south alley of 25th Av. suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic 16 transported the victim to Grant Hospital where he was pronounced at 2:19am.

Details: Officers responded to 1585 Smith Rd. on the report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot that had been parked there for a month. Upon arrival, Officers observed what appeared to be an unresponsive person inside the vehicle. CFD EMS 14 responded and pronounced this person deceased at 9:08 PM.

Details: On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 1:02 AM, Columbus Police Officers responded to 3851 E. Livingston Avenue to a report of 2 people shot at Eagle Fuel. Officers arrived and were directed to a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of E. Livingston Avenue and Courtright Road. Inside the vehicle was a man suffering from a gunshot wound. This individual was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced at 3:29 am.

Details: On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 3:42 PM, Columbus Police Officers responded to 2853 Cleveland Avenue to check on the wellbeing of the resident. Officers discovered the apartment was open and found a person dead inside. Signs of foul play were evident and the death is being investigated as a homicide.

Details: On April 8, 2021, at approximately 5:21 am, Columbus Division of Police Radio Room received a 911 call from a female who stated that there was a female outside yelling and screaming. When Patrol officers arrived they found the victim partially clothed and suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Riverside Methodist hospital where she was later pronounced dead. There is no suspect information at this time.

Details: On April 4, 2021, at approximately 3:03 AM, a resident in the area of 1370 Republic Avenue, called Columbus Police Radio to report that there was a suspicious white vehicle, parked in the alley. The caller said they approached the vehicle and asked the driver to move from the area. When the driver did not respond, the caller called for a police response. Once Columbus Police Patrol Officers arrived, they opened the door of the vehicle and noticed that the driver appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was not breathing. The officers immediately contacted police radio to ask for a medic to respond. CFD Medic 16 responded and pronounced the victim at 3:22 am.
