Details: On January 19, 2021, at 1:46 p.m., Patrol responded on a shooting at 1862 Sharbot Dr. Upon arrival they discovered the victim in his vehicle deceased; shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at scene by Columbus Division of Fire Medic #25. Witnesses saw two male black suspects leave in a black Chrysler 300. The vehicle went north on Tamarack Blvd.

Details: On January 14, 2021, at approximately 11:00 PM, Patrol Officers were disptached to the area of 1199 Sullivant Ave, on what appeared to be a body that was dragged onto the railroad tracks, in the rear of 1185 Sullivant Ave. Upon arrival, officers located a male black that was unresponsive. CFD Medic #10 responded and pronounced the victim at 11:16 PM. At this time, the motive for this incident is still unclear.

Details: On Monday, January 11, 2021, at 5:06PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to 842 Leona Ave. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Shaniqua Turner, 29, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 7 transported Turner to Grant Medical Center, in critical condition, where she was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 5:27PM. The investigation revealed that a friend of Turner’s had driven her to 842 Leona Ave. As Turner was walking to the front door 842 Leona Ave. an unknown person shot Turner multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.

Details: On January 6, 2021, at 9:05PM, Patrol Officers were dispatched to 1311 Stormy Ln on a person shot. Upon arrival, officers were directed to apartment #204, where they located the victim, Mr. Trayvon Hardy, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic #817 pronounced the victim at 9:13pm. Witnesses indicated that the victim stepped outside the apartment and was shot, and then collapsed inside the apartment. At this time, there is no motive for this incident. The incident is still under investigation.

On arrival, officers found David Gaines, 62, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 16 transported Gaines to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 4:19AM. At this time what lead to Gaines murder is under investigation.

Details: On Sunday, January 3, 2021, at 7:15PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the alley in the rear of 3026 Azelda St. on a report of a male down and out at that location. CFD medics arrived before the officers and discovered Dontreol Callhoun, 19, suffering from apparent gunshots wounds. CFD Medic 16 transported Callhoun to Riverside Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 7:15PM. The circumstances leading to Calhoun’s murder are currently under investigation.

Details: On Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11:45PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the area of 729 Polo Dr. N on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Christopher Gillikin, 21, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 6 transported Gillikin to Riverside Hospital in life threatening condition where he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 5:24AM. The investigation has revealed that just prior to the shooting Gillikin left an acquaintance’s residence to meet an unknown party in the parking lot. It is unknown at this time whether the person(s) Gillikin was meeting with is responsible for shooting him.
