Details: On Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 9:42PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 1800 block of E. Rich St. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found 25-year-old Dontae Crowder suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 8 transported Crowder to Grant Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:07PM.

Details: On June 26, 2021, at 5:26 a.m., Patrol received a call of shots fired in front of 4116 Larry Pl. They later received another call saying that someone was shot inside a white truck in the driveway. Upon responding, officers found a male black victim in the drive’s seat of the vehicle who had been shot. Columbus Division of Fire Medic #23 responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at 6:01 a.m. There is no suspect information at this time.

Details: On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, at 8:44PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the Far East Recreation Center at 1826 Lattimer Dr. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found 17-year-old Makenzi Ridley suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 23 transported Ridley to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, where she was pronounced deceased at 9:17PM. Witnesses stated, a large group of young people had gathered near the recreation center when shots were fired and Ridley was fatally injured. Following the shooting, most of the witnesses fled the scene.

Details: On June 23, 2021, at 2:58am, Patrol Officers were dispatched to the area of 1035 Atchenson St. on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who was sitting in her vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Columbus Fire Medic #8 arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at 3:18am.

Details: On Saturday June 19, 2021, at 11:18pm, officers were dispatched to 856 Frank Rd. on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until CFD Medic #3 arrived and transported the victim to Grant Medical Center with critical life threatening injuries. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:47pm.

Incident Address: 700 [Block] Canonby Pl.
Details: On June 4, 2021, at 3:51am, Patrol Officers were dispatched to 790 Canonby Pl on a shooting. Upon arrival, they located victim #1, Mr. Emmanuel Lee Bryant, lying on the steps in front of 790 Canonby Pl unresponsive and suffering from gunshot injuries. Mr. Bryant was transported to Grant Hospital by CFD Medic #3 in critical life threatening condition were he later succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced deceased at 4:30am. A short time later, patrol officers located victim #2, Ms. Keisha Williams F/B/39YOA, suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. Ms. Williams was treated at scene and released by CFD Medic #10. At this time, Investigators are still attempting to determine a motive behind this shooting.
