Details: On October 26, 2021, at 8:11 a.m., Patrol received a call that there was a body lying in the yard of an apartment complex. Upon arrival they discovered the victim, who had been shot, deceased. There is no suspect information at this time.

Details: On October 20, 2021, at approximately 10:53 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Cleveland Ave. and E. 21st Ave. on report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers met with Tanknai Houpe, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to the back and chest area. Mr. Houpe was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of his injuries. Officers met with Jamayca Davis who stated she and and Mr. Houpe were walking in the area of Cleveland Ave. and E 21st. Ave. when a black four door sedan passed them and unknown occupants inside the vehicle fired multiple gunshots at them, striking Mr. Houpe. Ms. Davis reported no injuries from the incident.

Details: On February 11, 2021, at 10:36pm, Patrol Officers responded to the area of 657 Wiltshire Rd on a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located a vehicle that struck a tree in front of 638 Wiltshire Rd. Officers then located the victim, Mr. Terry Cooper, who was inside the vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics transported Mr. Cooper to a local area hospital in critical condition. Investigators are still attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident. Terry Cooper died on May 19, 2021. The Franklin County Coroner ruled on June 22, 2021 that the death was a direct result of the injuries sustained by Mr. Cooper during this incident.

Details: On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 9:02AM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 1800 block of Bashan Dr. by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. During the service of a search warrant, FCSO SWAT found what appears to be human remains. The homicide unit responded and is investigating. There was only one set of remains inside the residence. The decedent has been identified as 32-year-old Allyson Lorenz.
