Details: On October 31, 2022, at 12:24pm, Patrol Officers responded to the 2500 Block of Howey Rd. on a body found in a vacant house. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, Jane Doe F/W, with an unknown injury inside a vacant residence. The victim was pronounced deceased by Engine 16 at 12:33pm. Upon further investigation, it appeared as the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Details: On October 30, 2022, at 7:40 pm, Patrol officers responded to the area of E. 19th Avenue and Gladstone Avenue on a shooting. Upon arrival they found a male white gunshot victim inside of a vehicle. The victim was transported to Grant hospital where he later died. A witness reported that a male black fired into the vehicle and fled on foot.

Details: On October 30, 2022, the listed victims were driving in the area of the 1400 block of North Cassady Ave when their vehicle was struck by gunfire coming from the parking area of a local business. Victim K.S. was struck by a bullet. Victim K.S. was transported to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for his injury. Due to the severity of that injury, the CPD Homicide Unit is investigating. The victim was 21-year-old Kevin Sobnosky. On October 30, 2022, at 4:17PM, Sobnosky succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Details: On Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 6:41 PM, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Carbondale Dr. to investigate an unknown complaint. The caller conducted a well-being check at this residence and found the victim unresponsive. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Lisa Rocker, F/W/58, suffering from visible wounds caused by unknown means. Medics from the Columbus and Madison Township Fire Departments arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at 6:45 PM.

On arrival, officers found 40-year-old Jeffery Chandler suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 23 responded and pronounced Chandler deceased at 12:10AM.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Mr. William Dammond M/B/60, suffering from a stab wound. Mr. Dammond was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition; however, despite receiving life saving medical care he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 9:13pm.

Details: On March 30, 2022, at approximately 3:23pm, officers were dispatched to the 1300 Block of E. 26th Ave on the report of a deceased female inside the residence. Officers arrived at scene and found two victims suffering from an apparent gunshot wounds. Columbus Fire Department, EMS 13, arrived at scene and pronounced the victims deceased at 3:29pm. After conferring with the Franklin County Coroner, this case was determined to be a homicide/suicide with Mr. Scales shooting and killing Ms. Salters and then taking his own life. This will be the 115th Homicide Investigation of 2022.

Details: On October 16, 2022, at approximately 9:45 PM, Columbus Police officers responded to a local area hospital to investigate a shooting that occurred at a different location. Upon arrival, the officers located the victim, Aniyah Elie, F/B/17, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was self-transported to the hospital and, despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on October 17, 2022, at 12:10 AM.

Details: Officers were responding to a ShotSpotter alert of shots fired in the area. Officers arrived and located the victim, J.M, slumped over in a vehicle that had crashed into a sign. It was then discovered that J.M had been shot in the side of the face. CFD Medics responded and transported J.M to OSU Main in critical condition but was then upgraded to stable condition. The previously unnamed victim was 20-year-old Josiah Montgomery. On Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at 6:15PM, Montgomery succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Officers rendered aid until Mifflin Twsp Medic 193 arrived and transported the victim to Dr. West Hospital, in critical condition. Despite receiving life-saving medical intervention, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 6:26pm.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. The victim, Lovely Kendricks, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on October 10, 2022, at 9:35 PM.

Details: On October 4, 2022 at approximately 10:56pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 600 block of E. Morrill Ave on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers found a 25 year old male, D.S. suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. A second victim, E.H., also a 25 year old, was located nearby suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Both victims were transported by Columbus Fire Medics to a nearby hospital. On October 5, 2022 at 4:32pm, Daeshawn Simington succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. This is the 109th Homicide in calendar year 2022.

Details: On October 4, 2022, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Patrol responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Atcheson St. Upon arrival, they discovered two male black gunshot victims who were pronounced dead at scene. Witnesses observed an unknown male black, possibly wearing jeans, shoot the victims and then flee on foot eastbound.
