Details: On December 23, 2023, at 6:12pm, Patrol Officers responded to a shooting inside the 900 Block of S. High St. Officers located victim #1, Abdus Turner M/B/23, who was unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. CFD EMS 14 pronounced Victim #1 deceased at 6:20pm. Adult Victim #2 and Adult Victim #3 self transported to a local hospital with gun shot injuries. Victims #2 and #3 are expected to recover from their injuries.

Details: On December 10, 2023, at 5:07PM, Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 3700 Block of Briggs Rd. Upon arrival, they located the victim, Shawn Overly M/W/34, in a doorway suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving life saving medical care, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:56pm.

Details: On December 5, 2023 at approximately 6:19pm, Patrol officers were called to the area of Mt. Vernon Ave and North 20th St on a ShotSpotter alert. While enroute, a second call was received reporting a male had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Grant hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 6:39pm. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

Details: On December 2, 2023, at 12:10am, Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 2000 Block of Cornell St. on a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, Malik Islam M/B/46 lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area Hospital in critical condition by Mifflin Medic 132. Despite receiving life saving medical care, the victim, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:26am. During the initial investigation, it was determined the victim was having a conversation with the suspect when he was shot.
