Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) course, designed and built on the Avoid – Deny – Defend strategy developed by ALERRT at Texas State University in 2004, provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter/active aggressor event or other critical incident.

Topics include the nature and prevalence of active shooter and active aggressor events; civilian response options of Avoid – Deny - Defend; the stages of human disaster response, and how to improve your response in order to influence survivability; and the role of first responders at a critical incident like an active shooter or active aggressor.

This two-hour training is being offered to schools, colleges, businesses, hospitals and places of worship.

If you have a group of at least 20 in need of this training and can host the presentation, please EMAIL US
